It was such a pleasure to spend an afternoon with my camera and my dear friends just one week after their little girl was born! I was honored to be entrusted with capturing these early days of Brighid’s life, her parents’ love for her, and the beginnings of a beautiful sister relationship between her and Alexis. I have to say that I am so impressed with photographers who specialize in newborn photography, because it is not always easy to help a newborn fall asleep and stay asleep, but when they finally do, it’s pure magic! Here are a handful of my favorite photos from our newborn session together.
From the moment Alexis was told that she would become a Big Sister, she has been beyond excited! The pictures I was able to take of these two girls made my heart melt because, after months of waiting, Alexis is finally able to start to know her sister and begin a life-long relationship with her that I know will be a blessing to them both.
It took a long time to get Brighid to slow down and sleep. I’m glad I stuck around long enough for it to happen, because the images I captured after she was asleep were absolutely beautiful. <3
